About the event
MNJRC Report Release: "I'm Suffering Along With Her: The Wide-Reaching Consequences of the Pretrial System in Hennepin County"Â
On Thursday, Sept 7th, 6 pm - 8 pm, join the Minnesota Justice Research Center (MNJRC) for a community convening to learn about our recent report on the widespread harms of the pretrial process in Hennepin County. In the report, we explore how the pretrial process punishes and degrades people, how it puts families and communities on the hook, and raises the question of the necessity of cash bail.
We will hear from experts Dr. Joshua Page, Anna Hall, and Brieanna Watters for a powerful presentation, then participate in a data walk and a conversation about how to re-imagine our pretrial process in Minnesota.
General admission tickets for this event are FREE with a suggested donation of $20 to support the work of the MNJRC and our partners as you are able. CLE tickets are $60, and Continuing Education Credits for Social Workers are available for $20. If you want a CLE or Social Work CEU credit, please pay the ticket amount at registration.
